Waiting Zone

  • When we're all going through the early stages of our life, there comes a point when we suddenly hit "The Waiting Zone". My whole life I've known what I wanted to be, various times from many different ages. My list contains: Best soccer player in the world, great baseball player, violinist, librarian, writer, mom, missionary, get my RN and pilot's license. Simple, right?  :) I'm sure there are things that I've probably forgotten over the small amount of life I've lived, but suddenly, when you hit your mid-teen years you hit a roadblock.       "Excuse me ma'am, but are you sure that's the right way?"
  •    The Waiting Zone. Definition: a part of your life when you're not sure, and are awaiting God's direction.
Through all the waiting. When I don't know what I want to be. God's still there, and I'm just waiting               for Him to give me the OK sign and say, "There's your exit." It's alright that I don't know what I'll be doing for my first job, or my lifetime career. People ask me all the time what I want to be, and when I was ten, the answers has always been the same. A missionary. I can and will always be that. What exactly the type of missionary I'll be will all depend on God. I wanted to get my RN and pilot's license so I could help other people. But I'm not sure I'll get either of those. The one thing that I REALLY want to do is what God has planned since the beginning of my life. (And before). I really don't care if I'm 20 and still have no idea what I'm suppose to do, or if people think I'm crazy because every time I'm asked, "What do you want to be?" and I answer, "Whatever God wants me to be."

For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to
prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
                                                                 Jerimiah 29:11
  • No matter what happens, always look to God for direction. His instructions will always be right.
